Our Saturday started normal for who we are, a small extended sleep, vitamins, fresh ground coffee and a delightful German frozen cake the wife discovered from an Aldi's. I skipped through the multiple E-boxes, updated the firewall/virus and the papers we tab, but it wasn't until 11AM CT that the TV was tuned to FOX 360, and heard the sad news of an adopted personality friend. If we are somewhat representative of seasoned viewers, the day didn't go better knowing the emotional pain that accompanies such events with folks much closer to Tony. As we walked the dog, Spots, the half mile to the mailbox our memories seemed to be on an auto pilot towards a friend we never personally met. Sure the planned charcoal yard stove was stoked this day to make charcoal for the two hefty chickens that would rest above the water pan in the smoker, the garden work would get done, the home pet would get her usual attention...yet the day did have a sense of half flag about it. We will miss not having Tony talk on the radio or see him somewhere on the tube, many more will burden more. God Bless a good man, Rest in Peace.
