FNC's O'Reilly targets congressman Wexler(D) Fl

Last week Bill O'Reilly on his cable TV show "The O'Reilly Factor, the No Spin Zone  did the usual cameraman in your face routine of confronting a story, this time it was a woebegone  parading as a Florida congressman apparently without really living in Florida in the legal sense?  Today his show had the camera on the local newspaper editor scrambling from the video monitor avoiding the accusation that the press there is a sham for the congressman's situation, thinking Bill is the problem. The thing with the TV guy from Long Island is that when he gets a story his targets usually pretty soon lawyer up, that's because his track record is damn good with the truth detector side of facts.  You see this congressman, is elected from a  district that is questionably not his 'legal domecile' by the fact that he uses his parents' address as his 'legal address', whereby he and his wife and children actually preside in Maryland.  Anyone who chums the system for benefits usually uses a Post Office Box address, which with the government won't get a $ 40 converter box coupon sent, not a real living abode address!   So now the ball falls to the states of MD and FL to their IRS folks to do due diligence to ascertain which state this guy really is a citizen of for political constituent relevance and tax liability?  When an elected representative takes the OATH of Office to swear to uphold the laws of the Constitution of the USA, it would also be appropriate if the governing entities and the 5th estate would ensure whether that these individuals are honest?  So has this (congressman, legal by..) fraudulently filed INCOME TAX forms in multiple states for years that are beyond just questionable?  Where does this  Wexler person legally really live?  He says he is in the process of renting a property, but what are the residency requirements for office, not precluding his previous potentially legal indemnities? In 2006 the press made a major case about then congressman Foley from Florida about his questionable sexual inuendo towards an intern, to bad mouth the opposing political party(R) to effect....does Florida have another return to election story this year?

Obama math challenged or unserious?

American voters are becoming accustomed to the battles of the B presidential candidates with whatever grade loyalty crew they assemble, but the message is then massaged by the press coverage.   South Chicago contender B.H.Obama has made his breakfast with Mayor Bloomberg and Investor Warren Buffet a photo op-mind business infusion experience similar to his recent globe trot trip, hoping to render himself a quick-study type that ultimately speaks volumes and that the facts would follow...our votes too!  It's too bad that those early sit downs didn't include a miserable calculator or a spreadsheet from such high valued money men?  Except for the near dead, the lush government 50 year record low interest rates kept too long, thanks Alan, plus democratic instituted play-your-house for easy money tax benefits from Bill Clinton, gave America and others a new parlor/gamble that used someone else' money....guess where that lead us?  Housing crisis.
Obama has his own version of Christmas tree, but don't go there.  He wants Bush 43's tax  policy to end and return to Jimmy Carters 1970's high tax regime, do your own review of that era; for todays money high rates on dividends and interest will hit the retirement fixed indcome group which is huge and growing...remember the boomers?  The  calculator that even E-savy money boy Obama could locate is a mortgage calculator to quantify his $250K high wage high taxed family, just look at the democratically passed Housing Bailout Bill, it lift the FHA, Frannie, and Freddie to first time borrowers to $700K+ !!!  Do the math, I used an internet calculator and a realistic historic norm 30 year loan of 700k @ 8% and get a monthly payment of $5,136.35...WOW that's 60+k /yr. after tax and living expenses....a conservative banker would look at a borrower of $250k salary with questionable qualifications for a starter FHA home.  Damn, your rich before you can get your first home!
He says we can get to alternative energy in 20 years but we don't need conventional energy until New England needs (oil) for this winter, Chavez is offering NewHampshire beggars (oil), so today in MI he tailored his tune to gimp a SPR emergency oilpile reduction of 10%, which is 3 days Americas' consumption, of which is high grade light oil for some crappy heavy crude...sort of like I'll give you my BMW for your Saturn kind of trade, how that alters the Global oil market you've got to ask the quick study form S.Chicago.  The more that BHO talks 'specifics' the fuzzier the picture gets.  Maybe his payed fors ought to brandish some smart conversation based on reality rather than some poll derived....it'll get our guy the White House?  I  am waiting for the debates to begin.

The Democrtic Party's Energy Policy Schizophrenia

If our economic situation were a reminder to everyday Americans whenever they see an auto fuel per gallon price sign how energy flows through most places we knowingly and unknowingly, directly and indirectly feel the effects the same as if slapped by a wet towel in a locker room of unfriendly strangers.
BTU's are to calories in food that Mayor Bloomberg requires to be on the menu in NYC restaraunts, run everything on Earth, consequently the reason that you get dinged for a surcharge for plane baggage, grocery deliveries, escalating price increases for UPS or anything that somewhere needed oil or electricity to make or move the item.
The press continues to convince against facts that we are in recession, we're not, yet we are slipping the largest non-ATM that acts like an ATM, the gas pump, (we had the $ but had to choose between what and where to spend)  seen or unseen a direct transfer outsourced to a foreign country that fortunate and destructive for us, allows expanded oil production...otherwise called drilling. "... allowed Brazil in 2006 to achieve more than 40% of fuel consumption from sugar cane-based ethanol for the light vehicle fleet,[15][2] and represents almost 20% of total fuel consumption in the road transport sector when trucks and other diesel-powered vehicles are considered.[16]      Pró-Álcool program successfully reduced by 10 million the number of cars running on gasoline in Brazil, thereby reducing the country's dependence on oil imports.Due to the lower energy content of ethanol fuel, full flex-fuel vehicles get fewer miles per gallon.
However, the effect on the country's overall oil use was much smaller than that: domestic oil consumption still far outweighs ethanol consumption. In 2005, Brazil consumed 2,000,000 barrels of oil per day, versus 280,000 barrels of ethanol.[35] Although Brazil is a major oil producer and now exports gasoline (19,000 m³/day), it still must import oil because of internal demand for other oil byproducts, chiefly diesel fuel (which cannot be easily replaced by ethanol).(From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Special Legislative Session Called For Aug. 19

NEW YORK (CBS) ? New York Governor David Paterson says the New York state budget deficit has gone up $1.4 billion in the last 90 days. The governor delivered the troubling economic news during a live broadcast message shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday.

"Our state now faces increasingly harsh economic times. When I travel across the state, I see communities suffering. Everywhere I go I see people losing their jobs and their homes," he said. "My message to the Legislature is that next year's budget process starts now.

Paterson also said the budget deficit is estimated to grow 22 percent over the next three years and called for a special legislative session on Aug. 19.

"The damage on Wall Street is infecting all of our communities and its effects on New York state's finances are devastating," he said."It is time for New York and other government to cut up our credit cards. The era of buy now and pay later and later is over. The faster we address this crisis, the faster and stronger we will emerge from it."
SACRAMENTO -- Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger today ordered his administration to lay off thousands of part-time state workers and to work with the state controller to temporarily slash the pay of most full-time employees to the federal minimum wage of $6.55 an hour.(LAT,7-1-2008)

Today Presidential nominee Obama called on Americans to inflate their tires to counter any need to drill domestically for more energy!  He believes a few more toxic mercury low heat emitting light bulbs and "just say NO" to domestic energy production will somehow work itself out, the same theory that the tooth fairy will leave money under your pillow?  Speaker Pelosi is too busy "saving the Planet" to realize her home state, California' Governor just ditched needed government workers,  the NY Governor is facing a crises that if we're honest have roots in ENERGY.  Add up the parked planes, layed off pilots, stews, the flights dropped the cars not rented the meals on the road not eaten the beds not rented and....the result will be more Bennigans and Steak and Ale's filing bankruptsy further weakening the banks...a viscous cycle.
The democratic party wants the SPR, the emergency oilpile, to drain  a few barrels of oil thinking that will make a daily global draw of 85M barrels somehow take notice of a drip in the scheme of the real world.  This akin to sneaking money from the 401k to buy veggies for the barbecue when the backyard garden would suffice, but the dems rather import instead from tomato or jalepeno hell equivlent instead. As little as this is,acceptance of the democrats mention actually states their actual knowng of the serious nature of the costs their political maneuvers they are willing to place on this country....just ask the Governors of CA and NY, those on the extreme front lines of decades of self inflicted democratic owned state houses, complicated by high energy costs running through our collective business to person veins, if this isn't a form of dimentia, what is?   Even Brazil as a model of alternative liquid bio-fuel, can only get to 20%, and honestly stipulates that that source will not replace diesel when the real traffic load meets the pavement.

Obamanomics or reverse Foreign Aid by Another Name

The Chicago Wonder off of a left media photo op world tour with the major loosing viewers studios biggies, comes home to yuk up another $50B of borrowed from whom? to throw at the "New Argentina" contituencies of  promise, print, and devalue the dollar, to Nancy and Harry avoiding just about every constructive piece of legislation, including the annual budget that the Constitution actually requires these so called representatives to accomplish, and America is just getting poorer by most measures, and democrats don't even yet control ALL branches of government as the swagger of preseumptive presidential nominee Obama exhibits.  Most Americans, whether employed, retired, or making it on their own know that energy is the life blood of an economy; big or small, being the job site or the home space, transportation gets a bigger speak at any table , but certainly not limited to, and the democratic party politically does a Halloween prank  at every choice chance to come to reality about Earth and humans.  Now there is a 5x5 D to R senate group of potentially rational helpfuls trying to move some sort of practical domestic energy self sufficiency measures forward; I'll  believe the Democratic party serious when Massachussettes is renewable energy self-sufficient!    However that is so impractible to forsee with Kennedy and Kerry on the record against windmills in the offshore as Spain does, congressman Delahunt tripping to Venezuala for (ripped off from the citizens) Hugo Chavez/Citgo winter heating oil (handouts), their whining this and that and a consentious solution being shoved into the ditch every opportunity after the last.  Ask the Governor of NY or CA, their budgets are bust, going to 4 day school weeks, getting rid of prized state employees in what may turn out to be record numbers...this in states that have been run by the democratic party for decades!  Is Energy the means that the democrats are using to solve their creation of 'never too many promises' to go unpaid?  This the party that insisted that there was an available school bus to take a kid from a walk to school across the county for a MLK speak de-segregation school court mandate  ride , yet today chooses to deny drilling for domestic energy so those same buses cannot keep the tank fueled for a regular calendar school year approaching?
How can a (legitimate)  political party continue to get the MSM to market so many failed policies to the American public with so many documented failures whether education or getting the trains to run or bridges to be safe, and seem to fool the next generation that a 10 year horizon is so far away when any parent that puts a child to sleep looks long beyond just 10 years?

Dream Green Energy, Congress and free lunches

What a week for fantacy policy that will swallow the rest of everyone' wallet that works to pay the bills.  Having listened to the GA congressman  speak on FOX TV that to immediately reduce the price at the pump he spoke about the puny local bio-fuel plant that utilizes chicken fat and the expression that he'd support repeal of the  Brazilian tariff on imported sugarcane ethanol ...dreaming in the hot sun. Chicken fat is a finite ingredient for supply, as well the Japanese have already found the Brazillian well on ethanol short for export and have decided to emulate the USA with a rice version...oh boy. So to acquire the democrats biomaterial  are we to gather leaves and CO2 organics that will require more expense than retrieved by more diesel heavy machinery, the commodity markets are already hot with the limited and yes finite natural ingredients that are fertilizer, do we spend these for Al Gore' dream green or secure them for human food production...seems that question isn't being asked in any public quarters.  Congress invited T. Boone Pickens to speak and he said" I'll drill , plant windmills, do solar, just NO imports...for so many reasons that are security and National Interest related....the Democrats yawned.  His conversation stated the government' own numbers of $700B annual for oil imports; didn't we usually hear in past political chatter that "investments" being in education, which after 50 years of additional money and the NEA lobbying  congress fix the K-12 RRRs?   It was a Clinton expression that $1B of investment would generate 20,000 new jobs, well  old energy is OK for foreigners.  Democrats are very good at creating jobs in other countries that have realized an explosion of new billionaires!  We get  promises.    Obama is talking about $150B over 10 years, chump change compared to the $7T without indexing for inflation if we continue to import oil,  but we cannot drill in ANWAR or elsewhere offshore except where sceismic studies show there is no oil, who would build or drill for water if you knew your dream home wouldn't flush anything?    Then we get Senator (NJ) Menendez on TV talking the phantom energy game all over; gone to the fill station and seen any new options for "new energy" , more likely a bag notice that says  "out of gas", his would say NOT INVENTED YET,  and will most likely never get to your  neck of the Earth?  So while America sends more money to Hugo Chavez, he vistits Putin' WAR STORE to 'invest' in the rewards of energy necessity for us in arms, gives his countrymen a rice store, and will ship "free oil" to America' latest state,NH, to cry beggar for winter heating needs in a chance to shame domestic Big Oil, the jobs aren't in America and I doubt that they recycle those dollars for research  in American  Universities for Al's global warming dreams. So many lost opportunities to do for ourselves at the alter of misguided intentions with a poorly conceived approach to a good intention gone horrorably wrong.  What does your representative do for you issue after issue?

Teddy McCain

"McCain sees himself in Teddy Roosevelt mold",  www.iht.com/articles/2008/07/13/america/mccain.php,  ".. government should play an important role in areas like addressing climate change, regulating campaign finance and taking care of "those in America who cannot take care of themselves".
If this is what an Arizona senate conservative at his age with all his government experience and warts from the 'Worlds' most deliberative body attached campaigns in Wisconsin for President armed in words with, then I say we have all been deceived by at least and probably more than individual shortcomings.  Some may say the parts are summed collectively more than individual pieces, but the picture seems to blur the more we look.  It is no wonder over the history of American presidential elections that the choice of electing a former/sitting senator to the highest office went to someone else that didn't have that experience.  How many people polled if asked the question in a non-biased fashion about campaign giving would say our current law works or that it should be scrapped save the exception of outright buying the office , like personal $65M to become Governor Corzine of NJ, grossly spent personally to be  previous Senator Corzine of NJ?  That model of a one party state's 'ownership' in Trenton should be 'regulated' by a Federal Court in the same manner that Kansas City,MO had a court run the school district for many years, then maybe the entrenched connected politicians would have a greater fear of intervention,
(perp walks to jail), than that of the same buddy crowd that prevails?
So this IS how the presumtive nominee for the Repulican party is presenting a forward administration priority outlook?   Doesn't America have real and significant issues to confront, like staying warm in winter, no black-outs during excessive summer heat periods no less the refrigerator or the grocery stores food storage ruining more food than the FDA can't find the cause for salmonella for months on end?
I shrink at the prospect of a President BHO, yet I cannot lose the thought of President Teddy McCain each morning going to the Senate building to put on his underwear and shoes before he starts the day.  Could it be that John McCain finally gets a single presentable appropriate message for the times and the majority of Americans to embrace for November's election of which he too can believe and develope once in office?

Tony Snow, a Goodbye too soon!

Our Saturday started normal for who we are, a small extended sleep, vitamins, fresh ground coffee and a delightful German  frozen cake the wife discovered from an Aldi's. I skipped through the multiple E-boxes, updated the firewall/virus  and the papers we tab, but it wasn't until 11AM CT that the TV was tuned to FOX 360,  and heard the sad news of an adopted personality friend.  If we are somewhat representative of seasoned viewers, the day didn't go better knowing the emotional pain that accompanies such events with folks much closer to Tony.  As we walked the dog, Spots, the half mile to the mailbox our memories seemed to be on an auto pilot towards a friend  we never personally met.  Sure the planned charcoal yard stove was stoked this day to make charcoal for the two hefty chickens that would rest above the water pan in the smoker, the garden work would get done, the home pet would get her usual attention...yet the day did have a sense of half flag about it. We will miss not having Tony talk on the radio or see him somewhere on the tube, many more will burden more. God Bless a good man, Rest in Peace.
